After the end of World War Two, Judith got to know and married Gerson Leiber, a U.S. GI living in Budapest. In 1947 the newlyweds immigrated to the US and after many years of working for various New York purse producers, Mrs. Leiber launched the Judith Leiber Company in 1963. Since then, the enterprise has created world-renowned purses, handbags, evening bags and accessories. The bags are included in the permanent collections of museums world wide.
